The Centre for Agribusiness Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CAIE) is an initiative of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (RVSKVV), Gwalior, established to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development in the agriculture and agribusiness sector.
RVSKVV, Gwalior was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh through Ordinance No. 4 of 2008, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 507 dated 19 August 2008, and was subsequently enacted as the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya Act, 2009 (Madhya Pradesh Act No. 4 of 2009) on 12 February 2009.
The University operates across 26 districts and six agro-climatic zones, with four Colleges of Agriculture, one College of Horticulture, multiple agricultural research stations, All India Coordinated Research Projects, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. RVSKVV works towards enhancing agricultural productivity, improving profitability, ensuring sustainable agricultural production systems, and strengthening rural livelihoods across Madhya Pradesh.
CAIE also works in association with NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) to strengthen agribusiness entrepreneurship, innovation, rural enterprise development, and sustainable agricultural value chains.
CAIE provides an enabling ecosystem for transforming innovative agricultural ideas into viable enterprises. Through incubation, mentoring, technical guidance, infrastructure, business development support, market linkages, and continuous handholding, CAIE helps entrepreneurs develop and scale sustainable agribusiness ventures.
CAIE supports a wide range of stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem, including startups and entrepreneurs through incubation, mentoring, business development, and market support; FPOs through capacity building, value addition, technology adoption, and market linkages; farmers through innovation, entrepreneurship, value addition, and improved market opportunities; and students through exposure to entrepreneurship, innovation, agribusiness opportunities, and startup development. Through this integrated approach, CAIE aims to contribute to innovation-led agricultural growth, employment generation, farmer prosperity, rural development, and sustainable economic development.
